After the apocalyptic morning we had here in Belgium, if definitely calmed down and a bunch of us were able to make our way to Antwerp for the River Island Christmas collection presentation. The extrem weather had actually put me in the mood for warm fussy jumpers, fur hats and other warm clothing. As always, their collection was full of interesting pieces, lovely bags and killer heels. I can't wait to go back on Monday for the Forever 21 opening which will be a huge event and a fun one too. I also took the opportunity to snap a couple of pictures with Dorothée of my ver un-interesting outfit. A huge thank you to the wonderful Oona team for yet another lovely evening.

Mango pre - fall

Yes I know its still summer, and there is something very annoying with the fact that I seem to want to share with you next A/W collections. However, with the weather being so crap I thought I might as well. I am also slowly starting to think about suitable outfit to wear to the Commission as I start my stage (internship) there as of October thus I am looking at practical outfit that can be taken from day to night and that look smart and not too stuffy. Also I really don't want to wear a suit every day, if ever.  What do you guys wear to work?

I am particularly liking the wide leg pants, the dark 'bordeaux' reds, the bare legs with either boots and dresses, the silk shirts with bows, the cropped suit trousers, the layers and a few sequins here and there (obviously not for work). More so I am loving the Balmain prints this year, particularly on the skirt and the jackets (not that the collection is any more affordable than the previous years). Actually as I am writing this post the sun seems to be making an appearance so I might just be wearing something meant for summer today.

Zara A/W 11

Source: Zara

Two outfits that I wish I was wearing at the moment and two outfit that would normally not be my style but I somehow feel like I could pull it off. I really wish I could wear biker boots and skirt but I haven't yet had the courage to try it as I personally think you need the perfect pair of legs for this look.

PARIS HAUTE COUTURE A/W 2011 - Jean Paul Gaultier

I met with Emilie yesterday in Paris and managed to get a sneak peak at Jean Paul Gaultier's Haute couture collection for autumn/winter 2011. I have to say the girls walked way to quickly which made it hard to capture them but looking at the pictures last night I had to admit that the dresses looked stunning and the girls (and boys) were actually breath taking. It was a true 'compte de fée' of 'enfants terribles' at the heart of Paris. I thought I would share with you some of the shots I managed to capture even thought they are not amazing and don't do JPG's work and creation any justice. However, I still liked some of them as they are messy, very bright and taken in the middle of Paris which actually kind of works. All in all, it was a fun afternoon that started of with some peaceful reading in a parc nearby and ended up in a whole lot of street-style, people watching, and a fair amount of posing. I am now back in Brussels for a couple of days, then of to the UK then back to Paris next week.

My outfit that day was nothing exceptional but my trousers did get a lot of attention, outfit post to come tomorrow :)
