Double up

I really do not know why I bothered packing anything at all. I came back to Brussels to a wardrobe full of long lost clothes from last summer mainly, so perfect for the delightful weather we are having lately. A quick outfit post featuring double denim, a trend I have always stayed away from (like quite a few others), that is until recently.

Friday night I ended up helping one of my friend who was modeling at a fashion show for young new talents. It is always a great opportunity to meet new up and coming designers whom have very different takes on fashion. It was also a nice insight to was goes on backstage at fashion shows, basically utter chaos. never the less it was great fun and a fun way to meet up with friends. Sunday was spent wondering round 'Art Brussels', contemporary art fair which was also a delight. I will try and get the pictures up and posted by Wednesday.

We have a Winner

Hope that everyone had a great weekend, I know I did even though very hectic. Just a quick outfit post before I leave for Brussels (or try to anyway) and of course the long awaited result of the big Giveaway. But firstly, a huge and warm thank you to everyone whom participated, it was great fun for me and it was nice to discover some of my readers, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I am looking forward taken some pictures and outfit post in Belgium, I haven't been back in quite a while.

A perfect outfit for this mid-season delight, the sun is definitely here but it's still not quite warm enough to shed the tights, which suits me just fine as my legs are not ready yet after a winter of being tucked away. Also, I am clueless as to how I am going to get them looking, well, just plain healthy will do. One of the 'difficulties' of being a redhead, the pale skin, not that I mind it, I have gotten use to it in last years, it took a while thought. But I wouldn't mind to have a bit of colour and glow on my legs. So if anyone has a miracle/secret solution, please di share.

GIVEAWAY WINNER: now for the moment you have all been waiting for (I do hope you haven't all scrolled down to the bottom of the page and ignoring my lovely outfit). The winner is 'A.CO' (corresponding to n°53 assigned by me). Congratulations and I will be in contact soon to discuss the delivery of  your prizes. One last thank you to the contributors of this giveaway!

How did I pick the winner? Firstly, I didn't pick anyone I used www.random.org. Secondly, each participant was assigned a number starting from the oldest to the lastest comments (n°1 to n° 82 valid comments). Then I checked all the tweets and gave each valid tweet a number (n°83 to n°102). As promised those who tweeted go an extra comment, in this case an extra number. Thus, 20 participants had two numbers as they very kindly tweeted the giveaway too. Quite simple, and very fair play.

I hope you enjoyed this and I am looking forward to organizing a new giveaway soon!

The story of a bag...

... and three pairs of shoes, three jackets, three dresses and many more items of clothing. I am probably the worst packer of all times, not only do I over pack but I have this incredible gift of being able to pack outfits that each need (in my personal view) a different pair of shoes. One would have thought that over the years, and after the many miles travelled I would have become better at packing, but so wrong. The older I get the less straight forward my outfits become, and of course first they was the jewelry, then came the bags (each outfit needs it bag), and now my shoe collection. Basically packing has become a nightmare, THE nightmare.

So here goes, as I am due to be leaving for Brussels soon, I thought I would set myself a challenge; packing one 'relatively' small bag for 14 days. Firstly, I am only allowed one hand luggage. Secondly, I can take with me only three (maybe four if I am good) pairs of shoes. Thirdly, I must only bring with me items that can each be worn in three different ways (my new 3x3 rule).

And, this ladies is what I ended up with. On a side note, this is what happens to me when I am left in my own care (yes the boyfriend is still away) and I have to fend for myself. But I have to say, after battling for what seemed like an eternity with the tripod and the remote, I had quite a fun time. What do you think? did I make a fool out of myself or not just yet?

I have also realized I have the useless ability to pull the exact same face throughout an entire film. Hope everyone is having a great week. Hopefully next week I will be able to share with you some of these outfits in actual outfit posts as per usual.  Thank you for al you lovely comments regarding the giveaway, it means a lot to me! If you havent participated yet, fell free to do so HERE.

Trompe l'oeil

If you remember one of my very first posts, I spoke about the collaboration between Rosalind Keep and Oasis. Last week, I received my very own Keep creation, and I have to say  really like it. It's fun and a bit different! I am just a bit worried I look like I'm wearing an apron.
