Not just a scarf

Another great new trend that I wil be trying soon; wearing my AA circle scarf as a skirt. Yes it seems to be all the rage right now and I have to say I am loving it. For those of you who follow me on a regular basis, you know by now that I don't often (actually probably) never post pictures of celebrities. Indeed, this blog is dedicated solely to the creations and the trends of the blogosphere, however some of these trends, if not most do start from inspirations that bloggers take from the catwalks, fashion shows and editorials, and this trens is no exception. Indeed, this tulip shape of skirt was first spotted on Dree Hemingway at the Twilight saga première. Like most of you, I loved the simplicity of the outfit and I thought the skirt was just perfect, I loved it even more once I discovered that Dree had performed a DIY of herself and had literally just wrapped her little 'derrière' in a scarf. I am thinking f trying this look on Friday night, fingers crossed it doesn't rain and I might just be abe to take a few pictures, that is if the whole thing is not a disaster.

Bare with me

It all started with this shirt, Hanneli

It seems that sun brings out, in all of us, the need to bare a little. And what better way than to show a little shoulder, so far so good. But show a little shoulder through a shirt, now that is even better. When I first saw the picture of Hanneli I literally looked at the picture for a whole minute and thought "how genius is this?". Then I saw Caroline Blomst sporting a similar design but in a very different style and thought "Now this is a trend a really like and could get use to!". Any thoughts on cut out shoulders on shirts?

The Acne Amon print top with cut out shoulders, seen here on Caroline and Sandra

A couple of pretty amazing DIYs from Iris and The Ensemble project

Also Thank you to Moni from the blog FrockYeah for the heads up that I was featured on Forever 21's blog (The skinny). Tanks for the feature!

Doc Martens

I have always admired girls that could pull of doc Matens boots without going down the whole grunge road. Even more so, when these girls pulls off the look and make these leather boots girlie by pairing them with skirt, dresses, dotted tights or anything else remotely girlish. For the time being I will stick with my biker boots but maybe one day I will give this look a go. What do ou think about these boots? Can you pull it off without going the whole mile?

White jeans

So here is one trend that I will more often than not associate to bad things, very bad and tacky things. However, this being said, it is also one of those trends that when pulled off to perfection can look so damn right. And if I am completely honest with all of you, I get very envious of people when them pull of the white jeans look, because it ends up looking so clean and modern and well put together.

I hope everyone had a great weekend (and that all my American readers had a fantastic 4th July). Mine was spent collection the new car as a drunk driver completely destroyed my old one, hopefully no one was in the car that much I can be grateful for. It was also spent visiting the gorgeous city of Bruges (in Belgium). As I have been accepted to study at the College of Europe, I will be spending all of next year doing a masters in diplomacy and European external relations which is my other passion. However, I ended up spending most of my time sweet shop hopping (which seems to have become my new own personal sport) instead of really visiting the city. I will share the pictures with you tomorrow.
