Diary Bruges

I went back to Bruges (where i spent most of last year) over the weekend and caught up with some friends from all over. I went first to Antwerp to do a bit of shopping first which was a nice change. I thought I would share with you some of the pics of Bruges and the two great -and very fashionable- friends I made there last year. The three last pictures were actually taken in Paris over the summer.

Also, for my Belgian readers I have a nice little contest for you. The French brand Bel Air is about to open a shop in the 'quartier Louise' area - Galerie Louise, n°3. I have two invitations (valid for two people) to attend the shop opening this week, Thursday 27 October courtesy of Cyrielle. I am planning on being there along with other bloggers. So if you are interested and would like to come, just send an email to the following address: mail@projectdistribution.com and the winners will be randomly selected. Good luck!

Fashion Award Weekend

ph/Jessica

I was very kindly invited to the the FashionAward Weekend; a lovely gala dinner followed by a big fashion show. Twelve candidates selected by Le Vif Weekend and de Knack Weekend  were competing against one another for the possibility of winning 10.000 euros. A huge thank you to Coca Cola (and especially Simon) for actually wanting me at their table during dinner. I had a great time with fellow bloggers such as Dorothée, Cyrielle and Sofie. Congratulations to the winner Céline de Schepper. I was wearing an old H&M bronze bustier dress (that had yet to be worn), and a oversized blazer also from H&M (and also from two years ago that had yet to be worn), heels from zara, YSL Arty ring and Bimba&Lola clutch.

Jean-Paul Lespagnard presentation

//The Presentation//

//Backstage//

//The people//

So here we are in the mist of Paris Fashion Week, I have just arrived back in Brussels and I am already running out of time. But I really wanted to share with your Jean paul Lespagnard's presentation during this PFW. Jean paul Lespagnard has managed to take something as iconic as basketball - add the 70s feeling to it - and turn into a unique interpretation, world of his own if you wish. Which was then translated onto the models as a very wearable, modern and sleek collection. With some quirky touches here and there, that subtly catches the audience's eye, such as the incredible wooden heels, the hologram pendants and the cute red lobsters.

All in all I had a wonderful time and was blown away by the whole presentation of it all, from the models to the setup. Thank you Stijn and Tome (Pure) for the invitation.

I wanted to share with you a few articles concerning these very sought after Fashion Weeks which I thought were very interesting and sincere. Now I know that all these articles have been written by British bloggers, so I don't know if these is something to look into here bit nonetheless there were all a fascinating read. I myself am still not quite sure what my take on all this mayem is. Hope you enjoy the read!

- LFW day 2: Irony Week (from the blog Park&Cube) - LFW outfit: day 6 (from The Stylecrusader) - LLG Fashion: What it's really like to attend the Milan shows (parts 1-4) (from Liberty London Girl) - Through the looking glas (from Liberty London Girl)

What is your take on this whole bloggers (sometimes front row) vs. Fashion Week debate? I would love to hear your thoughts.
