The Deli is an independent deli and coffee shop filled with the most incredible food which is either produced in-house or sourced locally from a variety of independent suppliers.
Situated on the border of Islington and Hackney it is one of those places you are thankful to have at your doorstep - especially when they are open seven days a week.
We generally go there for on a Sunday morning to fill up on both savoury and sweet goodies for the lazy day ahead. Their selection of sourdough breads is incredible -and perfect for soldiers and eggs or french toast - and so is their selection of patisseries and cakes. They also sell great salads, warm and cold sandwiches and pies. They also have a solid selection of cheeses, charcuterie and olives...
Also, they sell the most amazing chewy sea salt caramel that will make you tastebuds melt. Make sure you grab a few at the counter, I promise you won't be sorry. I hear their coffee is utterly amazing - I don't drink coffee so I wouldn't know.
You can eat in as well - they have a number of seats outside as well as inside. For any foodie friends you might have, they do amazing hampers (for a certain price of course).
For our Sunday lunch we brought the following products from the Deli; Sourdough loaf of bread, an onion Focaccia, a sausage roll, garlic filled olives, a filled croissant with ham and cheese, eggs, pasta de nata, palmier biscuit, fruit and almond tart, jam doughnut, chewy sea salt caramel and a bottle of Belvoir Eddleflower cordial (all pictured above).
