What better way to kick off London Fashion Week than with an exclusive pop-up store in Covent Garden showcasing some vintage items from Triumph's archives. I am talking about the full on printed duo from the 70's, the corsage form the 80's, the uber sexy satin ensemble from the 40's ... It was a nice reminder of the difference between style and fashion. Fashion weeks come and go and every season fashion - the fast fashion - pops its head round the corner and we go all out with the trends, and key pieces of the season. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, actually it makes Fashion Week and all its attendees quite an amazing show. But it is nice once in a while to sit back and appreciate true style and some heritage.

If going back in time is not your thing, then maybe the unique one off a kind pieces resulting from some more than talented collaborations with leading designers such as Matthew Williamson, Felder Felder and Louise Gray. Think craftsmanship and expertise meets couture.

Now open to the public from Friday 15th until Monday 18th February - 71 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden WC2

I am starting to long for longer and warmer days. However, Tommy Ton's latest street style pictures capture some of the things I will be missing as spring starts to make an appearance  What will you miss the most? Still not sure what I will eb wearing to some of the shows here for LFW, but I better start thinking about it and fast.

Currently in my 'virtual' baskets

Here are some of the things I have been coveting lately. Since I have started my job here in London I seem be to drawn to work friendly outfits and clothes. And indeed, my work to leisure wardrobe ratio is slowly starting to shift. On one of my hunts for work dresses, I came  Whistles. I actually knew the brand before moving to London but never spent a lot of time looking at what they had to offer. Now, I just can't seem to get enough of their collections.

1. Dhalia shift dress from ASOS  2. Vine earrings from ASOS  3. Statement necklace from ASOS  4. Naomi bangle from Whistles  5. Glazed floral skirt from Whistles  6. Whistles abstract animal print dress  7. Slammer sandals from Whistles  8. Rose jacquard pencil skirt from ASOS  9. Mini bowling bag from zara  10. Regal colour block sandals from Topshop  11. Compact mirror from ASOS

Yet another grey outfit with a small pop of colour. February has just begun yet I can feel it is going to be one hectic month. I am very excited to be in London for LFW and can't wait to see all the madness up close. Even though I am still unsure just how close I want to be to it, as the fashion world is still all a bit mystery to me.
